Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

My father told me that I should have taken a photography class. He bought me a camera to go with it but I never got up to it. (To be honest, I never made time for it.) Yet, he always believed I had an eye. He was right. I do have an eye. Yet, I think he had a different vision than I did. Meaning, I have an eye for everything and anything. Whether I’m looking at a spider or a bubble gum wrapper, what might be the most mundane things appear fascinating to me. I’m suddenly curious like an eager 3 year old. Colors and patterns pop in my head. I begin to play. My mind exploring every crevice. I imagine what lies beneath the coy exterior. To understand life, is to understand the definition of living. Living is about embracing things from a different perspective. You might say it’s a glass half full of possibilities. In other words, never judge a book by its cover. Just as the naked eye is deceiving. There is definitely more-than-meets-the eye. Life about is living in a realm of color and passion, vibrant hues exploding everywhere. Everything and anything is an ocean waiting to be explored, a forest to be hiked, a sky to be flown. And it is awesome to witness. After all, life is what we make of it. Right? Everything and anything is just an adventure waiting to be discovered. And I won’t stop. I will swim, walk or fly to wherever the world takes me. Each moment, whether negative or positive, is a beholden beauty waiting to be captured. I can only do my best to capture the wonderment of this-thing-we-call life. After all, isn’t that what living is all about?
